Whoa...first competition waaas...not quite there. Apparently the field was too wet (even though it's turf and it's *meant* to drain water) to march on so we were on the Driver's Ed lot. The wind was really strong too. And then, since they didn't have anywhere for us to sit and watch the rest of the band, we had to go back to the school. Heather had to go back for the awards (Dustin and Carrie too. Some other ppl were going back too...I was like siiike I'm going home man. lol
We got first in like 5 categories, but there were only three bands there, soo...I hope everyone doesn't think that how we did overall today was up to par. :/
So pretty much the bus ride up there was better than the actual compeition. ...but may the lord help me for sitting with Jahmal and the drummers. :D They had a freestyle battle...it was pretty funny. They sing funny, too lol
AlgII is actually fun this year. I'm sitting with Salem, Sofia, Andrew, and Chris. Man I forgot how funny Chris was. So that class is my highlite of the my...um blue days I think.
And my grandpa from South Dakota came to visit us! He's actually here on business -- some Senate thing -- but I'm so happy to see him. I don't get to see him that often. :(
But for now I'm gonna go get some peach pie before it's all eaten up.
